Kid Approved Snack: Monster Protein Balls

One of my boys all time favorite snacks are these peanut butter filled protein balls. I make these weekly and you can alter the recipe by opting for raisins or chocolate chips over the mini M&M’s. We have experimented along the way and some of the measurements are the “eyeball it” type of approach but give it a try and see how your little ones like it!

*Also one of my pet peeves when looking for recipes online is having to scroll through 65 paragraphs and 21 ads before getting to the actual recipe – so we are gonna cut right to the chase around here 🙂

Monster PB Balls

Serving Size:
Makes several 🙂
Time:
10 minutes
Difficulty:
Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1.5 (ish) cups of dry oats
  • chia seeds (couple spoonfuls)
  • 1/3 cup mini M&M’s or your favorite add in

Directions

  1. Mix peanut butter and honey in stand up mixer then incorporate oats and chia seeds. You want the consistency to not be too wet or too dry…(i know – helpful, right?!) 1.5 – 2 cups of oats is usually the sweet spot. Add in your M&M’s last.
  2. Form dough into small balls by rolling with hands.
  3. Store container in the fridge and watch them vanish!
