One of my boys all time favorite snacks are these peanut butter filled protein balls. I make these weekly and you can alter the recipe by opting for raisins or chocolate chips over the mini M&M’s. We have experimented along the way and some of the measurements are the “eyeball it” type of approach but give it a try and see how your little ones like it!
*Also one of my pet peeves when looking for recipes online is having to scroll through 65 paragraphs and 21 ads before getting to the actual recipe – so we are gonna cut right to the chase around here 🙂
Monster PB Balls
Ingredients
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1.5 (ish) cups of dry oats
- chia seeds (couple spoonfuls)
- 1/3 cup mini M&M’s or your favorite add in
Directions
- Mix peanut butter and honey in stand up mixer then incorporate oats and chia seeds. You want the consistency to not be too wet or too dry…(i know – helpful, right?!) 1.5 – 2 cups of oats is usually the sweet spot. Add in your M&M’s last.
- Form dough into small balls by rolling with hands.
- Store container in the fridge and watch them vanish!
